My college education started at Eastern Arizona College. I graduated with an associate's degree in 1982. After raising my children and they were all in school, I started working on my bachelor's degree through Northern Arizona University. I graduated with honors in 2008. Each summer I take classes that Graham County offers through their SEATA program. I am a continual learner and enjoy sharing what I have learned.
Our family moved to Thatcher in 2007. My first teaching experience was in Fort Thomas teaching sixth grade. I was hired by Thatcher Schools in 2009 teaching third grade. In 2017, I moved grade levels to teach second grade at Jack Daley Primary School. I am very happy at this level and enjoy the students. They grow so much during the year and I get to be a part of that growth.
Fun facts about me. I grew up on the Navajo Reservation until I was twelve years old. My father ran a trading post at Wide Ruins, Arizona. I am the second daughter out of six girls. In 1982, I served a mission in the Texas Dallas Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
I married my high school friend and we have two beautiful daughters and two amazing sons. Three are married giving us eight grandchildren in all. Our youngest daughter, EmmaRose is attending Arizona State University going into nursing.
In the summer of 2017, EmmaRose and I went to China to teach English to the chinese students at the Clifford School.
